Why is the Linn Sondek so overpriced?

Okay...so you're saying that it shouldn't be overpriced because it's a
copy of another turntable (I'm assuming you mean the Ariston). You're
saying that Linnies shouldn't worship it and pay stupid sums for it
because it's based on another design. Of course that makes no sense.

Here are reasons why a person could reasonably say that the Linn is
overpriced:

1. It isn't competitive with other turntables at its price point.

2. You've heard it and you don't think the sound quality justifies the
price.

3. You've seen the margins on it and they're abnormally high for this
particular industry.

The sound quality is OK. Issues do include warping of the plinth
because of green wood and RFI from the abysmally "designed" Lingo
supply.

Autism would be exhibited in believing that there is such a thing as
an abnormally high margin in this industry (such as it is).
