What do you think, 2pid? What do you think, Clyde? (I won't ask Bratzi
or sugar as they may be perps and they can plead the fifth when the
cops question them).
FBI statistics show there were 1,265 hate crimes based on sexual
orientation in 2007, up from 1,017 two years earlier and 1,239 in
2003. That compares to 3,820 racially motivated incidents in 2007 and
1,400 in which the victim's religion was a factor.

of the highest number, racially motivated "incidents",
however that may be classified (how is an incident different than a
crime?)
that would amount to about one for every approximately 85,000 adults
and teenagers

Or over 10 per day, 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, which is
about one every two hours and fifteen minutes, every day, all year
long. I don't think there are that many attacks in Iraq and
Afghanistan combined.
What's your point?

That we have a brand of terrorism alive and well right here.

I suppose you consider the rape in San Francisco a "lover's quarrel",
or somehow less violent because there wasn't an IED involved.
I disagree.

as bad as it was, a rape is less violent than
an exploding bomb, whether IED, or Iraq, or in New York City
nor is it any worse a rape, or any less worse a rape,
because the victim, raped by four men, was a lesbian vs a straight
woman.
What do you fear worst, being raped or having your body blown to bits
by a bomb?

They are both the same, as is the kid in southern California who was
killed, the black guy who was dragged behind a car, abotion clininc
workers who are shot and on and on.
You'd have to ask a woman who's been raped how she feels about it. I
personally can't imagine. I doubt you can either.

How compassionate of you to say so.

I don't fear either, Clyde. Fear is mainly a tool of the right.
Both are examples of people doing things to me against my will. In the
case of the bomb, if my body was "blown to bits" I might be aware of
it for a nonsecond. I'd fear a prolonged painful death to some illness
far more. In the case of rape, the effects will no doubt linger for a
very, very long time.
Are you arguing that we do not have terrorists in the US, or that we
have "better" terrorists here?
