View Full Version : Car Radio Problem: Thoughts On Appreciated

Hi,
Tried asking this in some car forums, but no good answers as to what might
be the cause.
Thought perhaps some of you folks might have an idea on this.
Sure that when I bring the car back to Dealership, they will just say that
they can't duplicate the problem.
Anyway, have a brand new 2009 Buick.
Radio in general plays just fine.
But, the radio keeps leaving the button Preset Number that I push.
Plays just fine for about 15-30 minutes on the station that I loaded into
the Preset, then jumps off of the Preset number.
Always happens wherever I am. Can't correlate it with anything like
location, playing with some car control, lights coming on, etc.
It's almost as if it seems the SEEK was pushed.
Doesn't jump to another Preset; jumps to the next station it happens to
find.
My Seek button is not on steering wheel; only on radio.
Happens with all of the Presets.
Any thoughts would be most appreciated.
Thanks,
Bob

Have the dealer replace the radio. It's broken.
While a more detailed diagnosis is possible, neither
you nor the dealer are equipped to deal with the details.
Suffice to say, it's busted.
Whether it's under warranty is another matter altogether.

Doesn't really matter what the fault is - the thing is broken. Take it
back to the dealership and insist they change it. Sit on the manager's
desk until he agrees. If you make a loud enough fuss in the showroom
he will do it just to get rid of you.

Jumping up and down on the hoods of a few new cars on display ( make sure
you're not under CCTV surveillance first ) will encourage him.
