View Full Version : Arny's Behavioral Disorders

Here's a brief description of a paranoid personality disorder:
"Paranoid Personality Disorder is a condition characterized by
excessive distrust and suspiciousness of others. This disorder is only
diagnosed when these behaviors become persistent and very disabling or
distressing. Individuals with this disorder are generally difficult to
get along with and often have problems with close relationships
because of their excessive suspiciousness and hostility. Their
combative and suspicious nature may elicit a hostile response in
others, which then serves to confirm their original expectations.
Individuals with this disorder have a need to have a high degree of
control over those around them. They are often rigid, critical of
others, and unable to collaborate, although they have great difficulty
accepting criticism themselves. They often become involved in legal
disputes. They may exhibit thinly hidden, unrealistic grandiose
fantasies, are often attuned to issues of power and rank, and tend to
develop negative stereotypes of others, particularly those from
population groups distinct from their own. More severely affected
individuals with this disorder may be perceived by others as fanatics
and form tightly knit cults or groups with others who share their
paranoid beliefs."
Here's a brief description of a narcissistic personality disorder:
"Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental disorder in which
people have an inflated sense of their own importance and a deep need
for admiration. They believe that they're superior to others and have
little regard for other people's feelings. But behind this mask of
ultra-confidence lies a fragile self-esteem, vulnerable to the
slightest criticism. Although some features of narcissistic
personality disorder may seem like having confidence or strong self-
esteem, it's not the same. Narcissistic personality disorder crosses
the border of healthy confidence and self-esteem into thinking so
highly of yourself that you put yourself on a pedestal. In contrast,
people who have healthy confidence and self-esteem don't value
themselves more than they value others.
When you have narcissistic personality disorder, you may come across
as conceited, boastful or pretentious. You often monopolize
conversations. You may belittle or look down on people you perceive as
inferior. You may have a sense of entitlement. And when you don't
receive the special treatment to which you feel entitled, you may
become very impatient or angry. You may also seek out others you think
have the same special talents, power and qualities — people you see as
equals. You may insist on having "the best" of everything — the best
car, athletic club, medical care or social circles, for instance."
When it comes to Arny, both seem to apply equally.

My impression is the paranoia is more salient. That might be because the
symptoms are more overt than with narcissism.
At the headshrinkers' conclaves, I'll bet they'd call Krooger a ****head.

I agree about the paranoia...it sounds like Arny's bio. But a
component of Arny's behavior is firmly rooted in his belief that he's
always right, and that everyone else's knowledge of audio (or anything
else) is inferior to his. Look how many times he has had his ass
kicked around by real engineers only to claim victory afterward. Look
at his casual dismissal of the findings of the Internet investigator
who determined that his kiddy porn headers were forged. Arny was
apparently able to discredit the very precise explanation with a mere
wave of his hand, as if that was enough. He's even trying to say that
he knows more about psychology than I do. No one can know more than
he can.
In fact, look at his debating trade tactics these days...he can only
parrot what is being said to him. It's nothing but one-upsmanship
without a foundation of reality.

yada, yada, yada.
Marc, you've posted this same accusation about 8 times in the past 30 or so
days.
One definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and
expecting a different result.
What different result do you expect this time?
None, right?
LOL!

While it's amusing to me that you're so defensive about this, I'm
really not doing this for your benefit. I can't help you from 2000
miles away. There are no "accusations," just strangers on the
Internet who have figured out why you're such a pathetic,
dysfunctional individual, and discussing the ramifications among
themselves. You're not really welcome to participate, since your
perspective is so dramatically warped by your behavioral disorders.

Marc, what's amusing is such a clear example of you playing monkey-see,
monkey do.
There are over 500 posts like this in various arvhives of RAO, going back
maybe 6 or more years. It was a bit interesting back when Dr. Richman tried
it, but it was even pretty lame then.

Marc, you can't even help yourself, although in terms of introspection
you're about 2,000 miles away from yourself.
You were closest to the truth when you observed that you were not a licensed
or trained health care professional. Have you fallen off your meds since you
made that post or what?

Again, your inability to come up with anything more substantive than
an IKYABWAI is very revealing. It's even more revealing that a
licensed psychology came to the same conclusion that I have, and you
consider his opinion lame. How narcissistic is it to claim to know
more about your psychological condition than a professional?
Your behavioral disorders become clearer with each post that you make.

Not fast enough. Like he said, Bruce Richman mentioned this many
years ago. And Arny's still here.
This is going to take a van of men in white coats to provide a
resolution.

Marc, there is no substance to this discussion, but apparently only I can
see it.

Yeah Marc, a "licensed psychology".
What were you thinking?

Abandon my children? What are you talking about? One of my sons is
in the next room, sick with a cold. The other will be walking through
my front door at 2:15 after a normal day at school. Do you equate
dropping them off at school "abandonment"? That might explain a lot
about your own fears of non-acceptance.
Again, I see nothing but your denials and delusions of grandeur that
are typical of paranoid and narcissistic personality disorders.
What's even more conclusive is your inability to shut and keep your
borderline psychoses to yourself. You simply can't help yourself.

Aside from the fact that this statement makes no sense whatsoever, the
onus is again on you to prove these so-called lies and not simply
project your lies onto others. You just can't seem to stop the
IKYABWAIs.

Unfortunately, it's more than just hypocrisy. Arny has a dire need to
feel superior to others, even when his life has become a pile of
****. For instance, you may have noticed that Arny likes to say that
I can't hold down a job, I've abandoned my children and that I can't
maintain personal relationships. These are outright lies, items that
Arny has created in order to feel better. His enemies need to be even
more screwed up than him or the house of cards collapses. From Arny's
statements we can deduce that he has no friends (which is why he
spends so much time on the Internet) and that he can't hold down a job
(same reason). It's pretty elementary stuff, and Arny fits the
profile of a paranoid/narcissistic personality disorder to a T.

I thought about that, since he drives Mercurys. But he's also gone on
record as saying the Mercurys are wonderful cars, and once criticized
me for buying a faster, better-built car, saying I was going through a
mid-life crisis. Therefore my car can't be better. And you have to
apply this to his whole anti-audiophile campaign as well. If he can't
afford it, it can't be any good. Nothing outperforms his gear.

Marc, anybody who actually follows your life while you've been posting on

Aw come on Marc, my daughter drives a Subaru. It's a nice enough car, but
compared to cars like the Milan, it is kinda tinny and light. Despite its
tinniness, it has about the same displacement engine (just a boy smaller)
about the same weight, and about the same gas economy.
> Therefore my car can't be better.
That's a conclusion you reached all by yourself, Marc. Maybe the same
twisted thinking that makes you think that vinyl is better than CD also
makes you think that a tinny, noisy car with performance that you can't
legally use is indeed a better car.

Guess what Marc, people with your audio proclivities don't define what being
an audiophile is all about.

It would be nice if you were more in touch with reality, Marc. I think you
are so disturbed that you think that all these false claims you make are
actually the truth.

No, I've pegged it when I determined you had a personality disorder.
A normal, sane person would have left many years ago after enduring

harder and harder for you to employ the debating trade here after
everyone realizes you have an actual personality disorder.

I'm just trying to get Arny to understand that he has built an
imaginary construct named Boon that is not even close to the real
person. I'm not hiding anything about my life, nor am I splaying it
all over the Internet for crazy people like Arny to pick over.

Your changing the header into an attack, that's
quite the Christian thing to do, Arny.
And you can't point your finger at me, that is not something
I do against you.
the truth is, that on numerous occasions, you have accused me, and
others, of sending you KP. You have also stated
that such material was sent to you once, by one person, in one email
..
As a fact, none of your lies and false insuations are true.
It is impossible that they are true.
Its like claiming that you were slapped one time upside the head
with a two by four, and accusing 23 different people of doing it.

All I'm doing is reading the IKYABWAIs from a person with a behavioral

What do you mean "also stated"?
I've clearly stated that I received such an email via my then-current email

I know that your personality disorder forces you to project your own
shortcomings onto others, but is there any part of you that recognizes
just how much of a tool you've become?
Susan may be the answer. Ask her to read your posts here. Ask her if
you're winning any debates. The tears in her eyes should be your
answer.

Your cause is lost. No one is coming to your defense. People are
attacking you on all sides because you're very presence is offensive.
Is it too much to ask for a discussion group that is free from people
with borderline psychoses? Are these disorders really so prevalent in
our society? Or is the Internet the ultimate democracy, giving these
people an unprecedented say?
There is not a single person here who thinks you are right. There's
not a single person here who agrees with you. There's not a single
person here who thinks you should continue to avoid professional
help. Go get some.

If you really believe that Marc, you'd stop posting about my so-called lost

The record shows that you have continued to post about me, so according you
your behavior, my cause must still be alive and worth attacking.

Yes I am, and historically, that has all that was required.

To them - but who are they? They are the Middiot Posse, the people who
effectively destroyed RAO as a useful audio group. For the most part, they
are people who post under aliases because they are afraid that what they
post would be associated with their real world selves.

Yes. Ever hear of free speech?
No, I didn't think so. ;-)

Marc, just to bring you up to speed, this is Usenet, and Usenet is not the
Internet.

It is true that just about everybody with a brain has been forced out of EAO
by the Middiot Posse.

Yes, the asylum has been taken over by the inmates. RAO is a laughing stock
among the audio groups on Usenet, and you are one of the reasons why.

First prove that there is anybody in the Middiot posse who is capable of
rational thought.

I don't want other nice people to soil themselves with RAO.

It's funny how I can't absorb any of your responses. They all look
the same. They're just meaningless IKYABWAIs with a few "Middiot
posses" tossed in. I might have to explore the possibility of another
extant disorder, one that may explain why you repeat yourself over and
over. Then again, you're 61, and it might just be garden-variety
dementia.

It's that time of the "debate" when coherence has packed its bags and
desperation rules the Krooglebeast's impulse generator.

We understand you're trying to make a "serious" point here, Turdy. That's
what makes it all the more pathetic. No, I won't deign to explain what's
wrong with your "reasoning". The putridity is obvious to those of us who are
sane and coherent.

Where does narcissistic gibberish fit into "debating trade" guidelines?

Hmmm.... This is one of your self-serving lies. I'm not sure if that's more
paranoiac or more narcissistic. I'll nominate this specific behavior as one
symptom of the newly identified ****ty Personality Disorder. You're in the
record books now, Turdy!

Cascade of paranoia noted.

I'll help him...my cause is to rid this group of the mentally insane.
Not assholes, not misfits, but people who have real, demonstrable
psychoses.

I just couldn't wrap my mind around that nonsense either. Arny's
narcissistic personality disorder will make him say that we're too
dumb to understand it.

The majority seem to say that Arny is the one who ruined the group.
Of course, they're all much, much dumber than Arny. He's smarter than
everyone! He stays here because he knows we all need his advice and
wisdom! Or at least that's what his disorder makes him think.

Yes...Arny's multiple personality disorders are now preserved in the

Didn't Turdborg set the precedent for "silence equals assent"? I recall

Oh, I recall that being 2pid for not disapproving of your every post.

Seems so, and yet neither one of them is bothered by that. How sad.

They rhyme nicely. Next time Witless has a "2down", let's compare it to a
Kroodown.
