I can't find a replacement for the oem bulb in the Thorens 126 MKII
at Radio Shack, Lowes or Home Depot.Anybody?
TIA
An old flurosent and a homemade disc I printed out from the internet
seems to work

Maybe, but I doubt it.

Without a number (or even a description) only someone with an
identical turntable could possibly answer your question.
There is a discussion in rec.audio.pro about this very subject.

They might, or might not. Depends on the details of the power supply
arrangements for the LED(s).
If you can find a display of these, just look at it, and then snap
your eyes from one side to the other. If the bulbs are pulsing you'll
see this in the afterimage... it'll look like a line of dots of light.
If they're continuously lit you'll just see a streak of light.

Take a look at the neon bulbs at the bottom of this page. One of them
may have the right socket arrangement.

**I suspect you may require some professional to do the job for you. It's
not that difficult.

**Yep. As will a handful of LEDs, correctly installed into your turntable.
