How to wire a amp and sub in a '96 grand cherokee w/ infinty

Hey,
I have a '96 Jeep Grand Cherokee w/Infinity and I need to know if i can tap a
line output converter into the wiring right where it connects to the factory
infinity amp. and if this signal is at speaker level or a line level. if
already at line level how would i splice into the wiring without a converter.
