It might help if you explained what you want said "guitar tech" for.
Are you looking for someone to go on tour with you and hand you a
tuned guitar when the one you're playing goes out of tune? Someone to
install a new pickup in your existing guitar, or adjust the action or
intonation? Fit a pickup to an acoustic guitar? Someone to fix a crack
in the back?

Many years ago, when I lived there, John Carruthers was the
guy. He is still there, and his shop is now in Venice. Great work on
electrics and acoustics.

Yes. Several people here can. Why do you ask?

Seconded, on the basis of a Gibson archtop electric and Yamaha combo amp
that came with a fabulous player for an SR gig I did a few years back.
The player had a truly unique and fabulous sound, and while I credited
his hands, he credited Carruthers for voicing both the pickups and the
amp to his personal liking. The real ****, no lie.
