I recently started working on some recording on Guitar Tracks pro. I
had made a drum loop for a song and imported it into Guitar Tracks,
and it worked fine. However, when I began recording guitar, as I was
recording the drum loop sounded like it was cutting in and out. Not
being able to hear the loop in parts made it harder to record the
guitar - also, the guitar sounds very different once recorded than it
does live and acoustic. Is there anything I can do to make the guitar
sound more natural? Has anyone else had problems with this program?
Whenever I use it, it seems to do strange things to my computer! Help!

Does the drum loop play OK by itself (before you've recorded anything)? How
are you recording your guitar (miked, direct, etc.)? What soundcard/preamp
are you using?

You may be getting some 'masking'. This is when the frequencies in the
guitar track you recorded 'mask' or cover up some of the drum track
frequencies. Sounds like there are a number of things going on there but
that is perhaps one of them.
