You could build one that Ethan Winer designed 20 years or so ago.
Check his web site to see if there's a copy of the construction
article. It'll take you an afternoon, and it works great. You can get
all the parts at Radio Shack for $20 or so, including the case.

Mercenary sells one too. I don't recall if it's the SCV or not, but if
Fletcher likes it, it's probably worth trying.

We sell the 'Galaxy' which is no where near as good as the SCV... it just seems to be
impossible to find the SCV's anymore. Damn shame...

I found this, is this not the SCV that I'm thinking about? I have tried to
e-mail LA Audio and the e-mails keep returning. That was after I got a list
of dist. and the info says that Audient is their dist. in the U.S. so I
called them, those people had never heard of LA Audio?? Go figure!

Anyway, I guess I will have to call them if this IS what I'm looking for. I
wonder how much they cost. Fletcher you should pick up this item for the
States! :~)

Thanks!

Apart from the paint job it appears to be the same unit. SCV used to be
a division of LA Audio but a few years ago SCV ceased to be a separate
brand.
