Hi
Someone can tell me, is there any big difference between the Yamaha
02R (version 1) and the 02R version 2 ???
Enough to buy the second version?
thanks

Lots, but depending on your application, you might not care. Some
things that I remember (it seems like it's been years) are:
Bit-splitting to record 24-bit resolution using two tracks of a 16-bit
recorder (probably overcome by everything).
Surround panning.
Automation will write a level change all the way to the end of the
song if you make a change and then stop recording the automation pass.
Time code offset, automation synchronization to MIDI clock and song
position pointer.
Some new routing and linking of signal sources and destinations.
M-S decoding.
More MIDI control.
Touch-sensitive (actually motion-sensitive) faders.

Are you talking about the original 02R(non-96)? Version 1 was pretty
crude. Everything worked, but the user interface wasn't finished, and
many features lacking. So you definitely want version 2, which consists
of two EPROMs that can be user-installed, and a new manual. Any 02R
with version 1 can be upgraded to v.2. The last version released was
2.15, IIRC. Sonically, there is no difference between the two
versions.
