Newsgroups are pretty well filtered, Craig. I haven't seen many
attachments that ever made it through my servers.

Since Supernews (listed as Comcast on my posts, but the provider really is
Supernews) is also my news service provider, I think I have some idea of
their standards for service. I don't believe they ever post binary
attachments in non-binary groups.

What probably happened is that your PC received an infected file by some
other means (i.e., Kazaa or regular email) at the same time you were reading
posts here.
