....my newsreader (MT-NewsWatcher) would filter all messages by a poster
(in this case Stephen) when I've set no filters, no filters show up in
the filter screen, etc? Curious

**I think it is something to do Stephen or his ISP. Sometime ago, I missed
all his posts too. I never did get to the bottom of it, but I changed ISPs
and I haven't had a problem since.

Mine doesn't count Scottie's droppings in its "new posts" total. Some
days, it tells me I have 10 new messages in RAO but actually there are 30,
with the difference all being Scottie's.

Some providers maintain a "blacklist" of other providers that for some
reason or another they feel have not been responsible or secure....if
Stephan is posting with a provider that your provider feels isn't worthy,
they might not accept his mail.

Hmmm. Thanks for the info. I'll have to figure out how to read Stephen
without resorting to Google.
