where are my inputs?

I know this isn't quite a pro question, but I'm going a little crazy,
and have always found this group to be helpfull. I've been running
ProTools 7.x on my Mac with an MBOX for awhile, and just picked up a
002. The problem I'm having is that I only seem to be able to access
inputs 1&2. I see all 8 when I go to I/O setup, but when I go to the
mix window, I'm only able to select analog 1, 2 or 1&2 stereo as my
inputs. I'm hoping I'm just being stupid and missing something. Can
somebody here help me with my sanity so I don't think this 002 is
defective?

Go to "Setup", click "I/O". Then click on the input tab and press the
"Default" button. That might do the trick.
