View Full Version : wireless speaker recommendations?

Hi. Would any of you happen to have some suggestions for a nice,
compact set of wireless or bluetooth speakers, preferably compact? I'm
moving overseas for a while and am looking for a set to take with me
for playing movies and such off my laptop, but I'd like for them to
sound good.

As an alternative to wireless, I might consider a really compact set
of high-quality speakers. I've found some systems with tiny
satellites, but there's always a relatively big subwoofer to go along
with it, which I really don't want. I rarely have the base turned up
very loud, so a sub might not be necessary.

Another option I've considered is a single-speaker/soundbar-type
system.

I know none of the above will sound as good as a fixed 5.1 or better
setup, but I need to be able to remain somewhat mobile.

Thanks for any help.

OK but there are few decent wireless speakers and the smaller they
are, the more limited they are.

If you have no sub, then the remaining ones have to be larger to give
you balanced sound at reasonable levels.

Why not? Make sure you audition it before you buy.

For optimal wireless sound sound, you'll need some Super Hyperlitz
Oxygen Free Wireless Guides. Only $5,000 or so for some good ones.

Don't pay any attention to dippy. His nerd humor and $4 will get you a
Starbucks latte.

Yeah? They drink tea every day, and you trust them? I heard they're
getting ready to take back "the colonies".
