Nakamichi CA-5 Problem
My Nakamichi CA-5 pre-amplifier seems to have a problem with the Left and
Right Channel Balance. I hear a distinctly fuller sound from the Left Channel versus the Right. If I rotate the Balance about 2 tick marks to the right then both Channels sound more in Balance by Volume. The amount of sonic difference is uniform across various types of music. My question is should I bother having the unit tested or just replace it? Will To reply remove '.AT' from my address |

I have one speaker on a wood floor and the other with carpet in front of it, and the sound significantly different. Why not just use the balance control to correct? That's what it's for.
