tech question - mackie 32 8
The tape / channel switch has failed on the overbridge for a mackie 32 . 8
Removing the switch and bringing out a pair of wires (for testing) restores functionality. Has anyone who has had this problem and subsequently replaced the switch with a factory exact replacement suffered a reoccurrence of the same problem? |

The tape / channel switch has failed on the overbridge for a mackie 32 . 8 Has anyone who has had this problem and subsequently replaced the switch with a factory exact replacement suffered a reoccurrence of the same problem? No reason for it. But where do you think you're going to get the exact replacement? Think Mackie has one? maybe.. i havent asked The only reason to use the exact replacement is cosmetic. yup If you can't get the exact switch, put something else in and cut to fit. its a rather tiny surface mount 4 leg pushbutton. You're lucky if this is the only problem you've had with that console. some days i feel lucky. mackie kindly sent me a ribbon cable kit no-charge. the meter lamps have burned out. that's about it on problems. the previous owner keeped it sealed in a giant mason jar and mildly pressurized with dry inert gas when not in use (or something like that) |
