any way to reprogram Kenwood X-579?

Has anyone "hacked" an X-579 (or any other, for that matter)? Namely,
I would like to scroll both a CD song title and the current time of
day at the same time. I also would like it to switch to the tuner
when I eject a playing CD rather than switching to standby and
dropping my antenna. I would hope the code is stored in upgradeable
firmware.
