Default 5AQ8 tube data?

A friend of mine has a 5AQ8 tube in his Teisco amp, but can't find any
information about this type on Google or elsewhere.

Any information would be appreciated.

I believe this is a 5V version of a 6AQ8 dual hight-mu triode. AFAIK, the
specs should be similar except for the heater voltage & current.

6AQ8 data is as follows:

Triode 1
Input ......................................... 0.3 pf
Output ........................................ 1.2 pf
Grid to Plate ................................. 1.5 pf

Triode 2
Input ......................................... 0.3 pf
Output ........................................ 1.2 pf
Grid to Plate ................................. 1.5 pf

Maximum Ratings (Design Center Values)

Triode 1
Plate Voltage ................................. 300 Volts
Plate Dissipation ............................. 2.5 Watts

Triode 2
Plate Voltage ................................. 300 Volts
Plate Dissipation ............................. 4.5 Watts

Characteristics and Typical Operation

Class A Amplifier
Plate Voltage ................................. 250 Volts
Grid No. 1 Voltage ............................ -2 Volts
Amplification Factor .......................... 57
Plate Resistance (approx) ..................... 9.7K Ohms
Transconductance .............................. 6000 MicroMhos
Plate Current (Zero Signal) ................... 10 Ma.
Load Resistance ............................... 1.8K Ohms

Converter
Plate Voltage ................................. 250 Volts
Grid No. 1 Voltage ............................ -3 Volts
Amplification Factor .......................... 57
Plate Resistance (approx) ..................... 22K Ohms
Plate Current (Zero Signal) ................... 5.2 Ma.
Load Resistance ............................... 12K Ohms

Might be a 6AQ8 with lower filament voltage. You haven't mis-read it? eg 5AQ5?

Could very well be. I'll ask him to take a closer look.

Thanks.
