Default ACTIVE SPEAKER WITH TUBES AMP

Hi all

I want to build a active speaker with built in tube amp in each .

How do I prevent microphony `?

Will it help if only the preamp will be small signal tubes base like ecc83
and the power will be solid stae ?

By the way the speaker is intended for keabords usage .

Many thanks in advance

EC

Answer:- Do not build the tube amps into the speaker if you want
to avoid microphony.

Guitar combo style tube amps with high gain 12AX7 and all other tubes
within the
combo box make sound coloured by the accoustic FB caused by the
vibrations.
Guys try to use non microphonic 12AX7.
Its the small tubes operating with high gain
at low levels which are most prone to microphony.

But for hi-fi, keep all tube amps well away from any vibrations.

Some guys use a head amp for their guitar amp, with speakers set up in a
separate box some distance away
which seems to me a better way to do things.
Ditto for any other musical instrument, including keyboards.

Patrick Turner.

Many thanks in advance

I want to date a girl with multiple pairs of lips, so I can kiss what
I'm in the mood for.

Stupid idea. Just because some morons have some on the market does not
prove anything.

Get over it. We all have early enthusiasms for stupid ideas, at times.

I never rebuilt my Fender Super Twin Reverb Amp. I was such a lousy
guitar player, it didn't matter. Sigh.

Happy Ears!
Al

** Errr - you have just described a standard, tube " combo amp ".

As made by Marshall, Fender, Peavey, Boogie, Orange & countless others.

Favoured by keyboard players all over.

Buy one.
