Edirol FA-101 mixing - help!
Hello everybody,
I just purchased an Edirol FA-101. I am very pleased with the hardware. Solid and compact construction, power supply via Firewire, enough i/o for my needs... The software supplied with the card on the other side, is so basic that is almost laughable. Edirol supplies a CD-ROM with just the drivers (ASIO and WDM). It is not possible to control the FA-101 from the Windows mixer so I can't set the input gains directly via the Windows mixer. There is no way to set up any routing (even very basic ones). Even the most basic SoundBlaster has software that offers more functionalities. I usually use Audition but because Audition does not have a mixer that controls the interface, I cannot set the input gains. I sent an e-mail to Edirol... no answer yet. I would really like to keep the FA-101 but as far as I can see, the only option I have is to return it back to the shop. Do you have any suggestion/idea? Thanks for your help, Silent Fly |
