I've got a 202ES player where the motor does not reliably start. If it
starts, it runs at the correct speed. Usage was very light.

Is there any active circuitry inside the motor, or just a Hall effect
sensor?

How many poles does it have?

You might consider replacing the mech for this kind of price:

Gareth.

Hi, Gareth, thanks for the suggestion. Even if it doesn't fit, it may be
possible to salvage the motor.

Not with that one you can't, as you need to take the spindle off the motor
shaft to get it out of the mech.

Of course you might be able to do this and get it back on again at the right
height without wrecking the motor. But you might not.

Gareth.
