I'm sorry but you do appear lazy... why don't you *read a book*
instead of getting all your info from hearsay and the media, if you are really interested? You seem to know..I'm asking you..and my reading schedule is a little cramped right now. John A. Chiara SOS Recording Studio Live Sound Inc. Albany, NY www.sosrecording.net 518-449-1637 |

I didn't imply that other people are smarter than Americans. My point
was that people in many developing countries *directly experience* the negative impact of US foreign policy. And my point is that they assign blame for any "experience" to whatever they are told to believe..by governments that don't allow freedom of speech. I wouldn't say a very objective perspective..though no fault of the citizens. John A. Chiara SOS Recording Studio Live Sound Inc. Albany, NY www.sosrecording.net 518-449-1637 |

I think a lot of people in other countries realize that Bush is not that popular among Americans, Speak for yourself. I know a lot of americans that voted for Bush, and still support him. and know that he was not elected with the popular vote. However if he is re-elected I don't think they will be giving the average American as much slack, & why should they... You act as if Gore won the election by a landslide, when in fact it was a very close election. If you do not like the electoral vote, contact your congressman to have it repealed.Pretending nobody supports Bush, and everyone supports the opposition is only kidding yourself.Bush is still near 50% approval, which is how many people voted for him.Saying Bush is not that popular among americans is a blanket statement that can only be attributed to your support of the opposition, and not based on fact. Which doesn't matter as that is not what chooses the President..you already know that .. No, it's Bush and his supporters who act as if Bush has some kind of mandate, when he definitely does not. And my point is that they assign blame for any "experience" to whatever they
are told to believe..by governments that don't allow freedom of speech. I wouldn't say a very objective perspective..though no fault of the citizens. Look, take a place like Jamaica, (a small country with which I have much experience). There isn't much government censorhip there. Jamaicans who were aware *knew* what the US and the CIA was doing down there in the 1970s and 1980s because they could see it with their own eyes. They didn't need to read a newspaper or watch TV. Kingston isn't that big of a town... We're not talking about Jamaica..are we. We're talking about a big country with poor communication. ou don't seem to understand that our government has been interfering with foreign *democracies* for decades. We mess with elected governments (if they don't see things our way), about as often as suck up to dictators, (if they control something we want). Are you aware that the US meddled with a democratic election in Australia not that long ago? Was behind the assasination of an elected president in Chile in the 1970s? Overthrew a democratically elected leader in Iran to install the Shah? I get it. It just seems that governments have been doing this kind of stuff forever..but we seem to be the ultimate evil to some. I think that this is evidence of the belief held by many that humans have evolved into better humans in the last few hundred, thousand, whatever... years..but the evidence doesn't seem to show that. So what reality are we trying to deal with? The isolated, intellectual, and "enlightened" rarely make policy. John A. Chiara SOS Recording Studio Live Sound Inc.
