Default RCA to Headphone converter: do not want wireless headphone

Old question:

Do not want to use wireless headphones on a car. (enviromental
concerns using too many batteries for four units in the back of mini
van for long trips)

What are the current solutions or adaptersto use the RCA outputs from a
mobile audio/video to connect a headphone?

Headphones are illegal for use while driving in many jurisdictions, and if you
get in an accident while wearing them, your insurance may be voided.

Just something to keep in mind...

I do believe that he wants them for the passengers, in example 4 kids
that are watching a movie keeping quiet for dad.

Wireless headphones are certainly the way to go in a car to avoid a tangle
of wires from multiple passengers.

I would consider rechargeable batteries. That way you won't be throwing
batteries away.

I completely agree, rechargeable batteries are cheaper in the long
run, aren't waist full, and some new chargers can charge via a
cigarette lighter power socket.
