Has anyone tried UAD-1 new 3.8 precision eq? How good does it compares to an
analog eq. I am planning to buy a UAD-1 because after a demo of the plate
140, I was very pleased. A good eq would confirm my choice.

The GUI appears to have been partially derived from:

So that one may have been one of the types used in their modelling also.
I've heard that they sampled several passive EQ's including a Massive
Passive to get the sound for this plug...It sounds very nice-very smooth It
does up sampling (partly why it takes so much horsepower) so you can get at
27KHz for some real "air". This plugin does a wonderful job but if you want
the sound of an expensive analog EQ, buy an expensive analog EQ.
