Default JL 8w3v2-4 Power Handling

I'm trying to figure out how much I can throw at a JL 8w3v2. The JL website
says 125w RMS, but that seems awfully low. Is that per voice coil? If I get
a dual 4 and wire it down to 2 ohms, I'm going to run into problems finding
an amp that weak.. The amp I'm looking at now (JBL BP300.1) is listed as
300x1 at 2 ohms. If that is 125w RMS per channel, then I should be fine,
given it should be able to handle 250w RMS when wired up...

But, if that's only 125w RMS total, I don't know if I should be putting that
much power to it. Anyone have any small amps they would recommend?

JL notoriously underrates their subs. Many folks usually triple JL's
suggested power ratings for subs.

It depends on the enclosure, and how much air is being moved across the
Voice coil.

Stereo is a continuous W.I.P.

There are two parts to wisdom:
1) Having a lot to say, and
2) Not saying it.
