More Stereo from Mono
Deepsky had contacted me, since he claims to have constructed Love Me Do stereo, and Winchester Cathedral stereo renditions. This rendition separates the vocal work.
http://www.angelfire.com/empire/abps...myloving-s.mp3 Even in this version, I hear Ringo's audio distorted drumming. Who did it, probably the dude that just passed. Should have stuck with Comedy. Jack |

Thanks and goodbye. geoff Geoff, I just don't get that. We all know Jack is very annoying sometimes, and quite probably simply a Troll. So what, you can choose to ignore him by not reading his posts. Why would you get mad at him and punish yourself instead? But to suggest he has wilfully destroyed this Usegroup is just plain fantasy. There has been increasingly little traffic here for a long time, other media has taken over. I engage with him for sport, as there is little else to do here. That's probably just me being a Troll too, then. Though I have leaned a few things I wouldn't have otherwise in the process, and had a good laugh at times. If I thought I was clogging up this board by doing this I wouldn't be doing it. I won't be responding to his last bait though. (George Martin being crap an' all) That's just far too obvious. Well, he might have been a bit crap in the early days, but he got a lot better. Gareth. |

In spite? Oh, look at the other "participants" here, trashing whatever "audio" I post. Real nice crew, and THEY blame ME for destroying usenet. The only one I admire here, initially, was Mark. When everyone else was doing their Isis imitation to kill, Mark actually complimented me in his own way. Now, sadly, I made Mark's kill-filter for openly expressing my beliefs, even though "politically incorrect", these days. As for Nil, he doesn't like me questioning ANYTHING about The Beatles. To him, George Martin told the absolute truth. Anyway, I came across a favorite song from 1968. I know I already have it on CD, but to find it is a pain. I downloaded and paid for an .MP3. Oddly, the audio (stereo) has changed. I'm sending it out to get other opinions, a very well done remake or an entire remix. The American Breed, Bend Me, Shape Me. The initial stereo mix was a bit ill sounding. Jack Gareth. |

Gareth. And, Gareth, I do not make a lot of friends, but enemies for enhancing audio. It, in my mind, makes them jealous, so I lose friendships, as they feel I'm showing off. Even during CD reviews, one privately contacted me, and begins trashing me in e-mail. But, after chatting and getting to know each other, even he recently said, I paraphrase, "I'd rather have you remaster it, than that Joe." How I operate: I first look at a waveform, that tells me a good story. Then, before starting, I open WinAmp to see what real-time frequency equalization I should add (easier to add than subtract). If it has some peaks that limit amplitude too much, I use Goldwave's Light Dynamic boost, that helps even things out. After I apply frequency correction, I give it a listen as the 160kbps MP3 I plan to post. I keep iterating (sometimes LOTS, an entire evening plus) until I am satisfied. Sometimes, I trim peaks. I always compare the lower bitrate MP3 to the original higher bit rate source MP3 to make sure I didn't lose anything. Yet, they claim I don't tell them what I do. And, yes, I can tolerate people like Geoff (and others) who tease me, just because it was I who discovered the 3kHz secret to music, thanks to Neil Young's PONO thing. Jack |

It was George Martin who was spewing competition for his "boys" (not men, in George's mind) at a Billy J. Kramer recording. I'll post it, if you wish. Why I collect that studio talk. Many before George could produce fine stereo, but George apparently felt lopsided stereo was the key to success. In reality, it gave him the condition to hide or mask some of Ringo's drumming, since even George claimed Ringo was "adequate", nothing great, that is. Why I even question that UK Geoff engineer, not OUR Geoff. Jack Well, he might have been a bit crap in the early days, but he got a lot better. Gareth. |

I believe all people are connected on many levels, from being apart of the same physical-causal-chain to being connected on a spiritual level (which, for all I know, may be potentially explainable by advanced physical-psychological means). I also believe that inaction in the face of such evil is akin to the evil itself. So far that's just the reason for my problem with your response to Nil. If I have to give any credit to Clinton (male rendition) it was for to APOLOGIZING to the American public for these acts of cruelty. Heck, others, not I, are blaming Israel for 9-11 attack. After all, Rothschild bankers got out quickly before D-day, even if it cost them thousands for breaking lease. I'm far from a bible thumper, my own beliefs are mine. I see Christianity being crushed in front of my face in America. I look at how Israel treats Palestinians, like dirt. I see reporter being yelled at, "Go back to your Jesus!!". And I question why nobody questions Bernie Sanders about this act of cruelty in Israel. Some say there was no "holocaust", lacks validated proof. I do know Russia stepped in a kept US from attacking Palestine. Heck, though tough to find, even VP Biden has, in a round about way, has instructed that particular religion to get out of America. Have a mind of your own, not to be brainwashed by your real enemies. Thank you. Jack |

Gareth, never mind kill-filing, even if you invited your Nazi friend to a conversation in a private chat, it would be a concern for every other morally conscious person: we'd worry not only that the virus is getting stronger (by the signals you're sending him, as I mentioned earlier), but that the infection is spreading, in you. Notice that your first reaction was an attempt to appeal to our sense of selfishness. The thing is, there are groups out there that are intended for these discussions. This is an audio group, it's for discussion of audio. From my perspective, what someone does with the rest of their life is not my worry here. This is an audio group. My complaint with Jack is merely that he has no actual understanding of audio or what goes on in the studio and he has no intention of learning anything about it. If he's a Nazi, that's his problem as long as he doesn't carry it in here. That said, many years ago when I was a poor starving intern at a studio in Atlanta, I cut a neo-Nazi single. I was cutting 20 sides a day at the time so I don't really remember it except that one side had a song called Zyklon-B and the other side had a song that went "The Jews destroy our nation in a thousand different ways. They ruin our society in league with the gays." At the time I just kind of shook my head and thought that with music like this, the rest of us didn't have very much to worry about. --scott -- "C'est un Nagra. C'est suisse, et tres, tres precis." |

On 15 Mar 2016, "Gareth Magennis" wrote in rec.audio.pro: But to suggest he has wilfully destroyed this Usegroup is just plain fantasy. He has done it before to other newsgroups. He's doing it again here - with assistance. Though I have leaned a few things I wouldn't have otherwise in the process, and had a good laugh at times. Your "good laugh" has been at the expense of this group. If I thought I was clogging up this board by doing this I wouldn't be doing it. It's not "clogging up", it's promoting the toxic stink of ignorance, racism, homophobia, anti-Semitism, fascism, and bigotry. There is Free Speech, there is Trolling, there is the Filter Button in many cases. Then there is self imposed Anger from deliberately reading stuff you know you will not like. Why are you doing this? Gareth. I strongly agree with Nil. Gareth, the holocaust doesn't horrify me merely because of how it directly affects me, or because I'm afraid the same forces might turn against a group of people I belong to. My horror is not related to my self concern, i.e., to selfishness. But you go farther: what you're doing by hobnobbing with an apologist for the holocaust is sending him, (and any other likeminded readers, potential or current,) a signal that he is, (and they are), still socially accepted. So, as I see it, you're an accessory to the crime! -- Matt Matt, I haven't come across Jack on any other Newsgroup, and he has not mentioned anything to do with Nazism on this particular one as far as I have seen. He has only ever mentioned audio related subjects, some of which I have replied to. How you have jumped to the conclusion that I am an accessory to any sort of crime whatsoever is beyond me. I will not be feeding you Trolls any more, but if Jack makes a post to do with audio that I quite fancy retorting to, I shall do it, safe in the knowledge that in doing so I am in no way condoning the mass slaughter of millions of people.
