Arny's a sick mofo.
"George M. Middius" wrote in message ... A certain RAOer's online behavior cries out for an analysis. (Or at least the Normals will get a kick out of one.) Here are some symptoms: 1. Immunity to embarrasment, humiliation, and, seemingly, self-appraisal of any sort. 2. Postures as knowledgeable about various subjects, but when caught in a mistake, becomes childish and lashes out at the opponent of the moment. 3. Advocates for class warfare and rails against things that are "too expensive", but boasts about his own possessions that give him pleasure. 4. Values loyalty to allies above their odious behavior. 5. Admits to minor errors but invariably blames them on external circumstances rather than admit to sloppiness or laziness. As a layperson, I see insecurity and an ego that's inflated artificially to compensate. What would a person with insight and training see? L. Sprague DeCamp developed "The Right Man Hypothesis" to explain this kind of behavior. It is best described as a highly concentrated foci of mania, relating to the individual's belief in his own infallibility. As Richman points out, one of the most fertile developments in modern psychology is that many individuals tend to develop these disorders based upon defective logic. If the affected individual can be disabused of the core logic, the individual can learn to function normally. The above concatenates very nicely with behavioral theory developed by the FBI to explain the slide of an individual into psychopathology. The FBI focuses on the concept called "subjugation of the ego to society", as a secular expression of the term "conscience." Arny's conscience is partly in place, and partly working. Nevertheless, as sleuths on this newsgroup have detected, Arny allows himself to slip the bonds of moral behavior to defend the core delusion of his belief system, namely, that he is always right. At this time, Arny appears to be a stable, low-functioning individual. I haven't observed anything that indicates that he's getting worse, or better. |

Brian L. McCarty , everyone knows you here.
As for "Prostate Cancer Man", I have no association with the individual, other than that we share the same ISP. I decry that kind of immoral behavior. And you do too, by impersonating my dad? LOL!!! Have you now subscribed to Giganews? We need to check that out. I particularly like your recent post, in which you incompetently denied you were WorldJAZZ while posting from a WorldJAZZ address: Message-ID: Date: Sun, 25 Apr 2004 04:58:49 +0100 From: "Brian L. Actually, the only "farrago of lies" comes from Mr. Morein. As anyone with any sense can plainly see from a cursory search, no one named "Brian L. Arny's a sick mofo.
"Prostate Cancer Man" wrote in message ... Gutter language is inappropriate to describe anyone on this newsgroup, whether they are in the grips of a psychological maladjustment. Certainly Arny Krueger needs professional attention. A correct, non-deprecatory term would be "depraved", or afflicted by a delusional disorder. The above was copied from a previous post I made on the subject. It is true that I find the "Right Man hypothesis attractive. As Richman points out, one of the most fertile developments in modern psychology is that many individuals tend to develop these disorders based upon defective logic. If the affected individual can be disabused of the core logic, the individual can learn to function normally. I agree, and once again, cannibalized from a previous post by Richman. The above concatenates very nicely with behavioral theory developed by the FBI to explain the slide of an individual into psychopathology. The FBI focuses on the concept called "subjugation of the ego to society", as a secular expression of the term "conscience." I don't appreciate this kind of plagiarism. I wrote on this subject because the criminal mind has long been one of my special interests. Arny's conscience is partly in place, and partly working. Here I disagree. Arny is by many measures a "high functioning" individual. He possesses considerable knowledge, something I have remarked on many times. Unfortunately, he devalues his advice by claiming expertise and authority in areas beyond his ken, claiming infallibility, and performing experiments that are so defective one can only suspect spongiform encephalopathy. |
