Default What size hard drive would you get?

I am about to purchase an external firewire lacie hard drive. I'm
trying to decide if I should go for the 80 gig, or the 120 gig? Which
one would you go for?
Thanks

How much space do you think you need? What bit rate and resolution
are you recording at?

I use 30's, 40's 80's and 120's. Maxtors, Quantums, WD's. It doesn't
seem to matter. I've used Maxtors most of all and have NEVER fried
one. Every debate about which drive is best comes down to individual
experience and personal opinion. Anymore, I buy what ever Costco has on
sale. I run Mac 1g G4, Mac G3 beige, imac, Compac Windows machine.
Brand and size don't seem to matter...Patric

Look Out! Always check what brand of drive they have inside.
I know Lacie used the Barracuda in their 80Gb model, but they used a
Maxtor in the 120. I already fried 2 of those Maxtor drives, the 80 G
Barracuda's are just fine, run much cooloer and with less noise. I
wouldn't touch a Maxtor if I were you!

How much are you willing to lose at once? If it's ever happened to
you, you'd get two 80 gig drives - one to run backups onto every
night. Or at least get the size that an 8 hour backup will transfer
completely from one to the other so you never have an excuse not to do
it.
