dbx de-essers, how do you figure out the product line?
Hello,
The dbx 902 is the industry standard professional deesser. But dbx also makes other ones, and their deessers also appear in other combination products. Is there a way to decode which of these are good, and which are not as good? For example, which dbx desessers are the "good" ones, and which ones are the lame ones? |

Sheesh, I thought the Orban de-esser was the industry standard. Is there a way to decode which of these are good, and which are not as good? For example, which dbx desessers are the "good" ones, and which ones are the lame ones? You gotta listen to them. --scott -- "C'est un Nagra. C'est suisse, et tres, tres precis." |

Sheesh, I thought the Orban de-esser was the industry standard. What about the de-esser from SPL? Just curious, as I once was told it was the "best" de-esser on the market. That was in the mid-90s, so things might have changed since then. Phil |
