Rotel RSX 1067 or NAD T773
I am looking to buy a home theater receiver for under $2000. I have read
great reviews about both of these receivers. The most important thing to me is actually the sound in stereo for music, as I am more of a music buff than a home theater buff. If anyone owns either of these 2 pieces, or can give me some advice about them, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Randy |

My first home theater used a NAD 306 reciever. I bought it mostly
because I really liked the way it sounded on stereo cds. It's a pretty subjective choice, though. You should go listen yourself, if you can, and take along a couple of your favorite cds and a DVD with demanding bass effects. Something like the beginning of "Toy Story2". (For the two sides of the coin!) BTW, my NAD 306 had a killer tuner. After I retired it from my home theater, I moved it to my office and I listen to FM radio with it to this day. It has a nice rich sound but I'm sure the technology is very different now. |
