Default Nagra 4.2 ... manufacturing year?

Hi,
Is there a way to tell the year my Nagra 4.2 was manufactured using
the serial number? It's just a string of about 7 digits. The early
Nagras it was easy 'cause they had the 1st 2 digits as the year. Not
so on the later 4.2 Nagras. Can anyone help? Thanks!

I don't know, but you can always send email to the friendly people at
audio.usa at nagra.com and have them look it up. They are good folks.
