Default Shure E3 and Etymotic ER4 green filters

If someone is interested...

For E3 earphones Shure give a little wax removing tool, but says nothing
about the "green filter" inside the earphones! You can extracted it from
them using the same Etymotic tool for ER4 earphones (or a little screw of
the right diameter). The filter is the same Etymotic Green Filter for ER4.

It seems that Shure doesn't sell filters (let me know if it is not)
then, if you need to replace them you can buy Etymotic Green Filters for ER4
earphones.

Hey there,

I just stumbled on this post from 3 years ago - hopefully you'll be able to reply!

Did you get a chance to try buying these filters and installing them into the Shures? Did they work fine??
