Hafler DH-500 Parasound HCA-2200 -- the non-mark II model goes cheap, and whatever differences exist are not important to your application Actually, the above are still overkill. Any of the "professional" bipolar amps, many of which have huge power output, but lack clarity, are excellent choices for this app. These amplifiers have fans and plenty of protective circuitry. I actually use a Yamaha to drive a subwoofer in one of my systems. |
