Default LspCAD with external sound card

Hi all,

I do not yet have LspCAD nor soundcard for my laptop, but before I shop I would
like some advise from someone with experience in using LspCAD and
external, USB type sound cards?

I have 2 specific questions:

1) How to figure out if the sound card is 'properly' supported by
LspCAD - or more directly will the Philips PSC805 work as expected?
both for measurements and xover simulations? (More information on the
PSC805 can be found at:
http://www.p4c.philips.com/mprdata/0...060061_pss.pdf)

2) Is it worthwhile to go for a 24 bit card as opposed to 24 bit for
this application?

Thanking you beforehand
Henrik

Let's put it this way. The most sophisticated and successful acoustical
consulting firm I know of habitually works with 12 bit data acquisition
cards.
