Default Substitute for headset jack

Hi,

Does anyone know of a way to use wired headsets when the headset jack on a
surround sound receiver is no longer working? I'm hoping that there is a
box of some kind with a volume control that can be plugged into L and R
audio output jacks (I have extras on the back of the unit) that I can plug
my headsets into. Does this exist? I'd prefer not to use wireless
headphones because I'm told that they have inferior quality and volume.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Stacey

P.S. Please don't get too technical with your responses. I'm not an
electronic wizard.
