I have a 1991 Newport SQR29 Blaupunkt.
The problem is the digital readout light. It must be burned out.
I can no longer read what station nor the time on the radio. Day or night.
Is it possible to somehow service this problem. Can the light be replaced?

If the brightness used to be constant, it probably uses a standard
filament bulb. If it started out dim on cold days, it probably uses a
CCFL tube. Filament bulbs are easy to find online and at electronics
surplus stores. CCFL tubes can be found at www.jkllamps.com.

Either way, replacement is probably going to require several hours of
surgery.
