This integrated amp operates normally for about
three minutes then abruptly buzzes and goes offline
(no sound but power light indicating online). If
immediately restarting amp resumes online power light
but no sound. After a longer cooling down period and
then re-powering the unit, it will go back online and play
over the speakers only to shut-down (no sound/power
on) after about three minute of normal play.

Any methodologies to diagnosis or identify the
source of problem would be helpful? The shortwave
radio back-up isn't making for me in the weight
room.

Heat related problem? Lift the cover and look for obvious overheating of
componentry. If this doesn't give you any clues, then a can of freezer spray
should assist in locating the offending culprit/s.
But, not knowing your level of expertise, and the fact you've had to ask
suggests you might be out of your depth here. Find a local competent tech
and get them to give you a quote to fix.

Open it up and turn it on from cold until it shuts down then quickly feel
all the transistors, mosfets or what ever it uses, if one is really hot then
this component may need replacing, be careful of your fingers though, don't
get burnt. This is a real quick and dirty method that with luck will solve
your problem otherwise it will require more expertise that can be
practically given over the internet.

I'd begin by checking power supply components and solder connections.
Especially any solder connections involving a regulator transistor.
