Add aux input WITHOUT disconnecting CD changer?
I have a 1997 Ford Explorer with a 6-cd changer in the armrest. I want
to install an interface so I can use my ipod in the car. I don't want to use an FM modulator or a cassette adapter. I don't need to control the ipod from the head unit (except for volume) and I don't need to charge the ipod (I can do that separately). I've found many solutions, but so far they all require that I unhook my CD changer, rendering it inoperable. This is unacceptable with the other (non ipod) members of my family. Isn't there something that will let me hook up the ipod AND have the CD changer? Thanks in advance! DM |

Based on what you are looking for...here is my suggestion.
Aftermarket Pioneer, Alpine and Kenwood all have CD changers and Ipod options. You will have better sound and better control over your ipod this way. The installs aren't even hard. -- WDW is a Way of Life wrote in message ups.com... I have a 1997 Ford Explorer with a 6-cd changer in the armrest.
