Let's look into this concept of yours: as long as I can get away with stealing from you you have little problem with my thievery. If I can get a huge number of folks to steal your goods from your store, you will like it even better. Makes perfect sense. As much sense as comparing apples and oranges. You cop out. You do not take resoonsibility for your actions. End of story. I won't even buy it long enough to ask if you design and manufacture all of your product line. There are probably plenty of copies of all of your product out there in other retail stores... just as with CDs. Now you're definitely trying to play apples against oranges. VERY weak indeed.... We're talking about physically STEALING from you, in the same sense that when you download from a P2P - someone first stole the product to place it there, and if you take it you are complicit... and if you put it there, you ARE the thief... the same kind of thief that has the keys to your stores and opens them up for all of their friends to take what they want without paying you or your distributors & vendors. |

It says 'Property' right there in the name. jb |

More simpler: The artist put copies of the work out there with the explicit contract of "get a copy: pay for a copy". Thus every copy, not expressly given away, out there NOT paid for is the real $$ amount of a copy out of the pocket of the artist. And indeed remember that you don;t OWN the music, you merely have bought the RIGHT to enjoy the use and convienience of the ONE copy you paid for. If there's any way to use it in 2 places at once, you're cheating. |
