Engineer for speech recognition / cleanup

Where would I find a suitable person, preferably someone reputable / qualified, preferably in the USA, is there an industry association which I could approach to find someone? The results might be brought to the attention of a lawyer, hence someone who has done such work before would be best. AES Forensic Audio subcommittee can recommend someone. On the west coast, try Wes Dooley in LA. He knows all the forensic guys and can point you in the right direction. --scott -- "C'est un Nagra. C'est suisse, et tres, tres precis." |

Lot's of people will tell you that they can satisfy your needs, and many can probably make a worthy and respectable effort that will provide satisfactory results... however, if you're looking for the sort of experience that might involve the legal system, then you are also looking for what's known as an 'expert witness' in the field of audio. -- David Morgan (MAMS) http://www.m-a-m-s DOT com Morgan Audio Media Service Dallas, Texas (214) 662-9901 _______________________________________ http://www.artisan-recordingstudio.com |

I could do it for you . . . for probably a better price than anyone in
the US (I'm British, but live in a 3rd world country, where the cost of living is so low that I can beat anyone's prices for top quality work!). Chris http://www.chris-melchior.com |

Chris http://www.chris-melchior.com But can you appear in court and testify as to the scientific accuracy of your methods and your analysis of the backgrounds that were removed, and fully convince a judge, using prior case law, that the physics and the implementation of the methods you used were acceptable as evidence? There's a catch to the OP's question. ;-) DM |
