Default Tascam 2600 what is it worth

a local music store has a dead mint 16 channel 200 with case for 600.00
seems very reasonable
when did the lst new 2600's hit the streets
what problems should I look for when evaluation its worth?
BTW I would be using it for live sound
thanks

Hi George,

I'm thinking that they came out around 1992 or so. They replaced the
2500 series, and then were pretty quickly replaced my the 2600Mk2. I
think one of the Mk2's improvements was the mic pre.

They were, of course, mostly thought of as a studio mixer. I used to
play with one in our demo room. It was OK.
