yes,

i am looking for a good expander gate; one with a ratio control,
attack, hold , release function...a range control would be good too...

i need this for like snare/kick,toms, ; i am amazed samplitude does'nt
have an expander gate; it has only a gate..,which is pretty
useless....

i have read about the channel G which looks great; but it alot of
money...and i don't need the other stuff; just the expander gate...

is there anything else out there comproble but not so expensive...

Most of these very expensive plug-ins are available from Torrent servers,
and I've got serials for most of them as well. Last time I visited a real
studio (on some IEEE junket), the studio had all the serials listed on a
computer in the control room. Easy to cut and paste an email to my home,
and real serial numbers without the search!

n track studio has a compressor that can also be configured as an
expander...

Floorfish from digitalfishphones is quite good, and its free.

Go to digitalfishphones.com and grab their "fishfillets package.

Blockfish (compressor) and sptifish(de-esser) are good too.
