Default Wiring Help

Hello All,

I have a problem and i was wondering if someone could help me.
Firstly i need a wiring diagram for a ford KC laser(1986) as all the
laser books i have dont have the actual wiring diagrams. Can someone
point me in the right direction?

I am finally selling the laser to upgrade my car, and as a consequence
i have to put the old head unit back in. Its an Arlec or Artec or
something. I was lookking for the wiring diagram for it. It only has 9
wires and they are Black, Red, Yellow, Orange, Blue, Pink, Green,
Brown and Black/white. Can someone help me as to which would pair up
for speakers and which are the constant power and accessory power? If
not as it is a very old unit, is there a way of finding out or will it
just have to be a long arvo taking educated guesses till i get it
right? Obviously black is ground.

Please help. Thanks in advance,
Daniel

Use a volt meter to find constant power, then turn key to accessory position
and use it to find your switched power.
How many speakers do you have? Assuming they are not grounded to the frame
you can use a D cell battery to pair up the wires. With your power and
ground leads set aside and the ignition off start with one of the remaining
wires and hold it to one side of the battery. Take each of the remaining
wires one at a time and touch to the other side of the battery. When you
hear a small pop or crackle from a speaker you have the pair of wires for
that speaker. Mark the wires as you go and pair up the rest. You should have
2 wires per speaker. Extra wires could be for illumination of the stock
deck. To check turn your parking lights on and test for power with a volt
meter.
