Software compressor/expander/limiter for use with mp3 player... does it exist?
I'm looking for a way to level my mp3 library, using a software
solution as opposed to an external hardware solution. Of course I could install a dbx unit or something like it, but I think a software app might be less expensive. It would have to intercept the audio "out" of the mp3 player, and before the Windows sound mixer. I don't want to switch to a different mp3 player (I know that Media Jukebox has this function built in), because installing an app like this would be much simpler and faster than re-importing all my mp3s and playlists into a new player. Does such a thing exist? Thanks, Angelo |
