Default Question re Partridge transformers

Hi All..

Found a nice pair of Partridge Transformers during a Uni store cleanup.

Code is D3861

Markings a

240v 210v 110v 0
40 -60 ~

10 . 5V
2A

Anyone have an idea what they would be suitable for?

Definitely primary.

40 -60 ~

40 - 60 Hz

10 . 5V
2A

Secondary winding. Unless you need 10.5V, not a lot of use I'd say.

They could be used for a filament supply for a preamp.

10.5V when rectified with an Si bridge will give about +13vdc at 1.5Adc,
and this can be filterd with a CLC for 12.6Vdc,
say 15,000uF plus low resistance 20mH choke plus 15,000uF, or the
13.5Vdc used with RC filtering down to 6.3Vdc.

Still usable though even if you wanted 6.3Vac at 2A, with a 2 ohm x 20W
dropping resistor.
