Default Should I Re-cone a JBL L-65 Woofer ??

The jubal played very loud. I'm sure they can handle
"digital" media.

Uh? What causative relationship exits between loudness
and digital media? Certainly frequency response and
dynamic range differ greatly between analog and digital
media.

In current practice, no. However in theory CD has much better bass response
and higher dynamic range than analog, yet most modern speakers tend to have
less bass response, and less maximum dynamic range than those L65's, so what
point are you trying to make?
