I think the first thing I'd check is to make sure that the amp isn't in
protection mode and that it's getting a signal.

Its getting a signal but right now I have my factory cd deck going through
line out converters. This has worked fine on my other "cheap/midgrade" amps
but I am looking at the install manual online and looks like there is allot
of jumper settings on the amp and one is for line in input voltage.this
could be my problem, as it sits it is set at the +20 setting =100-300mv
I guess tomorrow I will have to get out my multimeter and check voltage and
set the jumper accordingly.
I wasn't planning running this amp with the factory deck, I just want to
test it and know it works before I put it up in the closet until I get a
aftermarket deck and higher power subs.I figured there should be some sound
coming out the speakers even if the jumpers are not correct.

Keep in mind it will go into protection mode if the speakers are wired
wrong or if the ground is inadequate.

What do you mean by "wired wrong"? If they are shorting, then yes it would
hopefully go into protect.
The ground being inadequate has nothing to do with it. The amp wouldnt care at
idle.

I tried this thing again today, I bought a new blaupunkt with rca outs and
set the voltage "in" jumper correct, same problem no sound.I don't see how I
could get the speaker wiring wrong on it.It has parallel speaker outs, one +
one - and I wired them that way.I guess this amp is broke.Maybe someone out
here can fix and use it.
If so I will let it go for $150 shipped to your door.
