Sound Deadening Best Option Opinion?
Hi
I have an 1997 Acura Integra GSR. It is a pretty noisy car and before installing a good audio system (I had a Pioneer Premier deck that was stolen) want to quieten the car. What I am looking for is 1. Opinions on best sound deadening products (good value products) to install. I have done some research and BQuiet seems like a good choice (also have read about second skin but don't know as much about this). 2. Which specific types of products (spray on, deadener ie vibration to heat, etc etc) should I get and what goes where in what priority order (ie are the doors the first to do, then hood etc). Basically looking for areas to attach first and how to do it. 3. Websites that explain more on sound deadening and how to install (including removing door panels) etc esp. for my car. Thanks Shriram |

Sound Deadening Best Option Opinion?
Shriram,
Both www.raammat.com, and www.cascadeaudio.com have pretty good tutorials that'll explain the difference between dampening/deadening, and the type of materials that are needed in order to do both. Once you have a good understanding of that, it'll be a lot easier for you to accomplish your goals, while spending as little money as possible. After researching these sites I would look for products that may not be labeled as car audio solutions, but will be effective and cheaper!! There are a ton out there. Good luck! |
