Default 97 Volvo 850 Double DIN mounting

Does anyone know if there are pre-fabed aftermarket brackets to mount a
double DIN radio into a '97 Volvo 850?

I know there are single DIN mounts available with a pocket but I wanted to
use all the opening for AVIC-Z1.
There is a rail for the factory radio to slide on in the middle of the
opening that would prevent a double DIN unit from sliding in.

Thanks in advance

Pete

Does the factory stereo have a removable metal bracket attached to each
side? If so, you should be able to take that brack and use the same
mounting holes to attach it to the sides of your aftermarket radio.

As far as trimming-out the rest, you might very well be left with no
option other than to custom-make something. But if your opening is
truly double-DIN, you shouldn't really even have much extra room around
the dash trim.
