Default FS: Acoustic Research AR28s Speakers

Acoustic Research AR28s Speakers, $129pr

Image: http://members.aol.com/KDresch/ar-28s.html

In my opinion these are part of the last "good" series of AR speakers. The line
tended go down hill after this except for the high end or special issue models.
This is a nice traditional acoustic suspension speaker system utilizing an 8"
woofer and 1" soft dome tweeter. The tweeter looks to be similar to those used
in the previous line (like the AR-14) The acoustic suspension design delivers
tight low bass.

This pair has been fully restored. The foam surrounds have been expertly
replaced on both woofers. The walnut grain vinyl cabinets have been treated
with a preservative. This is an example of one of AR's last classic designs and
fully capture the essence of the "East Coast Sound". All drivers are original
and in excellent condition with strong output. The speakers are fully
functional. Cabinets have some scuffs and dings but no major distractions. This
pair even has the AR Logos.

AR offered these from 1981-83 for $250 pair. I can offer these classics for
$129 pr. plus actual shipping and $10 packing fee. (52lbs net, 65lbs gross pr.)
